“How can I market my business more effectively?”
To allow you to market your business more effectively, you must clearly identify who your customers are. To achieve sales growth, you must become an expert in your market and build an outline of your customers’ profile.
Continuous research and analysis will help identify where you are now and assist you in making strategic decisions to assist you in developing your market strategy.
You need to be able to ask yourself where your potential customers are located. For instance, do they live locally, are they tourists or are they internationally based? Find out how large the market is, research on the internet or use trade journals.
Identify what customers buying patterns are. How frequently do they purchase your products? Daily, weekly, monthly? Consider why customers would buy from you; are they attracted by price, quality, service or convenience? Think about whether you can aim your products to a niche market that isn’t currently being exploited.
Also look at your current performance in the market; is there room for expansion?
It is important to identify any trends that may offer opportunities for future growth. Once you can answer these questions, you will be in a much better position to put together an effective marketing strategy to target both new and existing customers.
You will know which marketing techniques to use to reach your clients – it may be advertising in the press that would be most effective, or perhaps you should increase your use social networking media.
Monitor what works and what doesn’t and don’t be afraid to experiment until you get the desired results.
