Get Connected provide a free, confidential helpline that gives young people the support and information they need to decide what they want to do next.

They can put you in touch with somewhere safe to stay for the night, refer you to an organisation, or simply give you a listening ear.

Fiona Clark, interim chief executive of Get Connected, said: ‘Our commitment is to provide a valuable service and offer emotional support to young people in need of help, who would not necessarily find it easy to track down the right source of information for their particular problem.’

You can contact them by email, webchat or telephone.

Whatever your problem, they are there to help.

How it works

One of their trained helpline workers will listen to whatever is bothering you and ask you some questions about the situation. You don’t have to tell them anything you are not comfortable with.

Once they have established what it is that is worrying you and what kind of help you might find useful, the helpline worker will suggest services that might be appropriate and either provide you with a free connection to that service, or provide you with the details so you can contact them in your own time.

The helpline worker will be impartial and supportive at all times.
