It may have been an absolute scorcher this weekend but that didn’t stop some of the everywoman community with their online networking.
We’ve seen some great discussions taking place on the everywoman Network, with some really great advice being offered. This is exactly what the website is all about and it’s really great to see women in business helping each other through sharing best practice and both good and bad experiences.
Like many business owners, Laura has created a Twitter account to help promote her business but is finding it hard to build up her number of followers, so she asked for help from the everywoman community.
It soon received a response and has kicked off a great discussion about how best to get yourself noticed on Twitter, and guidance on what you should be tweeting about, including Heather Townsend’s top 3 tips on gaining followers – take a look: How to get new followers on Twitter.
The regular everywoman visitor may notice Heather’s name mentioned a fair amount – that’s because she has a knack of offering some cracking advice to her fellow community members.
She’s in the process of putting together her first book at the moment and has been keeping us updated on its progress in Heather Townsend’s Journey to Authorship.
Ginny started a discussion on Friday afternoon based on something a little more (make that a lot more) frustrating – she’s been having problems with a web designer and finds herself in a tricky situation seeking some advice on legal issues.
The community were quick to offer their support and recommend her the routes to take, while offering assistance in looking at the bigger picture to try to avoid a similar occurrence in the future. Read more: My website designer has ripped me off!! Help.
Janelle is eager to get her business mentioned in magazines, so called on the everywoman community to seek some advice on the best way to get her foot in the door.
This kicked off a discussion about what’s needed to build a profile and get press attention – PR strategies, press releases, photography – some really useful stuff, find out more: How do I approach magazines to get them to feature me?
As always, the discussions are still ongoing – if you have a view come along to the everywoman Network and offer your advice, or seek some answers for your own business.
